Job summary

Empower Staffing, Inc. is partnering with a New Jersey real estate practice to place a commercial real estate attorney who will take ownership of meaningful work from day one and has a clear path to partnership.

You will handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions for entrepreneurial developers, owners, and investors in New Jersey. The role involves drafting and negotiating transactional documents, reviewing title and surveys, and supporting land use and redevelopment matters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm.
• Bar admission in New Jersey or eligibility.
• Strong writing and close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage files independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate PSAs, leases, and loan documents, and manage closings with partner oversight.
• Advise entrepreneurial clients with practical solutions, not just flag issues.
• Review title and survey on complex commercial deals.
• Support land use, redevelopment matters, including zoning approvals and PILOTs.
• Collaborate with practice leaders on marquee matters like CMBS loans, 1031 exchanges, and mixed-use redevelopments.
