Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator II to join the Vanguard Study at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Responsibilities include patient recruitment, consent, specimen handling, study documentation, and basic regulatory management for MCCRP studies.

This position is 100% on site. U.S. Citizenship is required for clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Life Science and/or Chemistry.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience; 3 years in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of federal and local regulations for human subjects research.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients for eligibility in participation of research protocol(s).
• Reviews patient medical records; assists with participant identification, recruitment and enrollment; obtain informed consent and education.
• Interviews participants regarding medical history and collects questionnaire data.
• Collects, processes and ships blood specimens according to procedures.
• Maintain adherence to SOPs, protocols and policies for all projects.
• Assist with regulatory submissions and actions as needed.
• Data entry for research projects and ensure confidentiality of data.
• Maintain laboratory standards and inventories per good laboratory practices.
• Interface with clinic providers and administrative personnel.
• Adhere to confidentiality ethics; participate in monitoring visits and audits.
• Participate in update calls with MCC and site PI.
• Oversee supply maintenance, procurement and shipping of materials.
