Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Crate Builder to prepare customer orders for shipping, construct crates, and load/unload trucks at the Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin facility. You will use banding tools, nail guns and various hand/power tools to ensure crates meet specifications.

The role requires 3+ years in related work, basic math, reading comprehension, and the ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks. Physical stamina and regular lifting are involved.

Qualifications

• Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
• 3+ years building maintenance or related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for shipping and ensure order accuracy.
• Crate and box products; band and label as required.

SummaryUnder the direction of Production Manager, builds custom crates, packs, uncrates and prepares customer orders for shipping, receives material and equipment, and loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer delivery requirements. Performs light maintenance and assists production as needed.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time toPrepare product for shipping to customers. Ensure customer order and product matches; box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary. Custom makes crates to conform to each machine. Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials with use of fork truck & pallet jack. Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct. Verify the quantity and quality of material received. Place incoming materials into storage. Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed. Operate a bander to band boxes to be shipped. Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier. Complete and maintain all required paperwork. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Process recycled products. Uncrate overseas crates. The use of crating tools such as nail guns, rip saw, pneumatic tools and all other tools associated with skid building. Performs routine maintenance on Star Automation’s property and related structures. Occasionally performs light snow removal. Occasionally performs building maintenance inside and outside building. Maintains equipment and tools used in performance of duties. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
