Job summary

Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a motivated Yard Helper to perform yard maintenance, cleaning, and light crane-related tasks.

This is a full-time, non-exempt entry-level position with comprehensive benefits and a $100 bonus after 100 days of successful employment. Responsibilities include housekeeping around the yard, cleaning and pressure washing cranes and trucks, assisting in loading/unloading, operating tools, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
• Must have a valid Driver License
• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity.
• Ability to safely operate complex construction equipment, including forklifts and tele-handlers.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Miscellaneous housekeeping tasks around the yard: maintenance and clean-up of equipment, buildings and general area
• Responsible for cleaning and pressure washing of cranes and heavy duty trucks
• Assist in loading/unloading cranes and crane components
• Operate hand and power tools and a variety of other equipment and instruments
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Other duties as assigned.
