Job summary

Lift Solutions and CapCo Crane & Hoist are seeking a Crane Technician in Rowley, MA to install, inspect, maintain and repair hoist and crane equipment. The role requires 2–5 years of crane troubleshooting, electrical knowledge, and overhead crane experience.

You will work with customers and internal teams, perform preventive maintenance, and adhere to safety and OSHA standards. Excellent benefits and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Electrical knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; document and complete warranty work; troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance; respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by interfacing with customers and internal departments in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain rapport with customers by reviewing and addressing complaints; suggest improvements.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
• Develop working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Responsible for company equipment including vehicles, trailers, tools, etc.

Education & Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.
• Thorough electrical knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.
• Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and customers of job status.
• Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
• Required to use own hand tools and meter.
• Local travel to customers on a daily basis required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Employment is contingent upon successful motor vehicle record, background check, and drug screen.
