Job summary

Lift Solutions Holdings in Neenah, Wisconsin, is seeking a Crane Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair overhead cranes and hoists. The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and customer service in field service.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform inspections to OSHA-like criteria, and interact with customers to explain repairs and recommended improvements, with physical work at height and lifting up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
  • Overhead crane and scissor lift experience preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
  • Ability to work at height and lift 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain and repair hoist and crane equipment.
  • Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections; document work and warranty items.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot breakdowns.
  • Interface with customers to repair equipment and explain status.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical adjustments with/without drawings.
  • Maintain safety, professionalism and on-site organization.

We are hiring a Crane Technician to join the team in Neenah, WI. The Crane Technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. A Crane Technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics as required to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
  • Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
  • Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
  • Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
  • Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
  • Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
  • 5 or more years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
  • Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
  • Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, preferred.
  • Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.
  • Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.
  • Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer the status of the job.
  • Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
  • Required to use own hand tools and meter.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
