Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center in Florida seeks an experienced equipment operator to support ground systems and heavy lifting for NASA programs. You will load, transport, and position cranes and heavy machinery, following safety protocols within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include crane operation, load securing with chains/slings, and safety checks on forklifts and aerial platforms. A valid driver’s license and flexibility for travel/shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and technical training in the applicable area.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• NCCCO preferred and Class A CDL with hazmat.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile hydraulic cranes and heavy equipment.
• Load/unload and position equipment using chains, cables, slings, and hooks.
• Perform safety checks on cranes, forklifts, and aerial platforms.
• Transport materials to various areas on site and assist with loading/unloading.
