100Hires, Inc. seeks a Crane Systems Assembly Technician to plan, lay out, and assemble crane sub‑assemblies and final units on the production floor in Pennsylvania. You’ll balance precision and pace to meet quality targets and schedules under supervision.

You’ll review shop orders and blueprints, translate measurements, fit hydraulic and powertrain components, install air/vacuum systems, and document torque checks and data logs to support Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Build crane sub‑assemblies and final assemblies to schedule; operate and verify sub‑assemblies meet performance criteria.
  • Ensure all assemblies meet specifications and quality standards at every stage.
  • Record serial numbers, models, brands, torque values, and other critical build data; maintain logs.
  • Identify and report defective materials, abnormal conditions, or faulty operations; repair or replace components as needed.
  • Perform and verify torque operations; document results in the log.
  • Support Lean, 5S, and TPR continuous improvement efforts.

Job description

Shape heavy-lift machines that move the worldAs a Crane Systems Assembly Technician, you’ll work under the guidance of a Production Supervisor to plan, lay out, and assemble sub‑assemblies and final assemblies across our crane product line. You’ll balance precision and pace to meet stringent quality targets and production schedules while reinforcing our continuous improvement culture (Lean, 5S, TPR).A day in the lifeYou start your shift reviewing shop orders and blueprints, translating measurements from tape and gauges into a build plan. On your bench, bearings, seals, hoses, valves, and fasteners are staged. You fit hydraulic components—controls, pumps, rams, solenoids, valves, gauges, piping, and hoses—verifying operation against specifications. You install air and vacuum system elements (tanks, hoses, tubing), then mount and connect engines, gear boxes, axles, and other powertrain units. Throughout the day, you run and check sub‑assemblies, keep work flowing for teammates, and document torque checks and critical data in the logbook.What you’ll ownInspect parts for correct form, fit, and function before and after assembly.Build crane sub‑assemblies and final assemblies to schedule; operate and verify sub‑assemblies meet performance criteria.Ensure all assemblies meet specifications and quality standards at every stage.Specialize and achieve full proficiency in a core assembly area while flexing to other final assembly tasks as directed.Execute varied mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and powertrain hookups per shop orders, specifications, and work instructions.Record serial numbers, models, brands, torque values, and other critical build data; maintain accurate, legible logs.Identify and report defective materials, abnormal conditions, or faulty operations; repair or replace components as needed.Perform and verify torque operations; document results in the log.Support continuous improvement by practicing Lean, 5S, and TPR methods.Complete other assembly duties as assigned by supervision.Minimum requirementsSolid math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Ability to read and interpret blueprints; proficient with tape measures and precision measuring tools.Completion of all required safety training within regulatory timeframes.Education and experienceHigh school diploma or GED preferred; technical/vocational school diploma welcomed.3+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.Preferred qualificationsComfort using a laptop to download programs, set parameters, and clear error codes.Certification in A/C system charging and leak detection.Health and safetyMaintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the department.Work safely and wear required PPE for each task.Follow all job‑specific and facility‑wide safety and health procedures and rules.Engage in safety training and demonstrate competency.Raise safety concerns, report unsafe acts, and offer suggestions—or correct hazards you can fix safely.Working Environment:The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. Incumbent will work in a typical assembly environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil, petroleum products, etc. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
