Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Crane team and ensure cohesive execution across projects.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-career engineers and analysts at Crane.
• Coordinate with government leadership and customers to align technical work with program goals.
• Bridge activities across engineering, test, analysis, and program management to maximize impact.
• Represent Iron Will well with partners and the Crane community and maintain sound professional judgment.

Position Overview

Iron Will Ventures is looking for a senior technical leader to serve as a key company lead supporting our growing team at Crane, Indiana. We are looking for someone with broad technical and program experience who understands how to operate effectively in the NSWC Crane environment and can provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a growing team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with or supporting NSWC Crane and understands the organization, mission, and broader Crane ecosystem.
• Strong technical background in defense programs, test and evaluation, systems engineering, weapons systems, hypersonics, missile systems, or related areas.
• Understanding of technical analysis, including test analysis, modeling and simulation, performance analysis, mission analysis, data analysis, or similar analytical disciplines.
• Understand how analysis supports engineering, test planning, mission execution, and technical decision-making.
• Experience working across engineering, test, analysis, program management, and Government organizations.
• Comfortable working directly with Government technical and program leadership.
• Assist connecting technical work across multiple projects and identify where Iron Will personnel and capabilities can support broader customer needs.
• A trusted mentor and technical advisor who can help develop junior and mid-career engineers and analysts.
• Can provide day-to-day leadership and help build a cohesive Iron Will team at Crane as the organization grows.
• Demonstrates strong professional judgment and sound decision-making capabilities to operate independently and represent Iron Will well with customers, partners, and the broader Crane community.
• Combines strategic leadership with a hands-on, collaborative approach to execution.
• Has an active security clearance or the ability to maintain the clearance required for the work.
