Job summary

CBI Construction seeks a Safety Technician to support Operations by maintaining a safe, compliant, and OSHA-adherent jobsite. You will be on-site daily in Tampa, FL, identifying hazards and enforcing safety protocols for vertical, multi-story construction.

You will lead toolbox talks, conduct safety trainings, and monitor crane operations with rigorous documentation in Procore. Strong communication and integrity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500/510 safety course completion preferred.
• Rigging certification and crane safety experience preferred.
• Procore proficiency and strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and correct hazards.
• Oversee crawler crane safety, including pre-lift checks and signaling.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with OSHA regulations and safety plans.
• Lead toolbox talks, orientations, and safety trainings.
• Document incidents, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and compliance docs in Procore.
• Monitor PPE use, fall protection, scaffolding, and equipment.
• Coordinate with safety director and superintendents on safety concerns.
