Job summary

Allegiance Crane & Equipment in Lafayette, LA is seeking full-time Tractor-Trailer Drivers with rigging experience to join our field team.

As a driver/rigger, you will transport cranes and equipment to job sites, securely rig loads, and follow safety protocols. The role requires CDL, NCCCO/NCCER certification, and a minimum of 2 years driving plus 1 year rigging experience; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• NCCCO or NCCER certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Class A CDL required to drive commercial vehicles.
• Minimum 2 years experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Minimum 1 year prior experience rigging cranes or similar equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Professional communication skill to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive tractor-trailer to transport cranes and equipment to job sites.
• Properly secure equipment to the trailer for preparation for hauling.
• Utilize proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load, including hand signals for the safe operation of the crane.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps
• Dismantles, maintains and stores rigging equipment
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting
