Job summary

ENS is seeking a skilled worker to operate cranes and assist with arc furnace maintenance in a heavy industry setting. The role involves inspecting and unloading railroad cars and trucks full of scrap metal, loading charge buckets for melting, and performing general material handling.

Training to backup the electric arc furnace is provided. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED and the ability to interpret procedures, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate clearly with

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, policies and other written forms of communication.
• Ability to process and complete written or oral instructions.
• Ability to apply basic math including fractions, percentages and units of weight measure.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner with internal and external customers.
• Crane operation experience preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb and bend. The employee is regularly required to use hand and fingers to handle objects and controls and reach with arms and hands. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in extreme weather, is frequently exposed to airborne particles and occasionally exposed to fumes. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
