Job summary

Canon Business Process Services is seeking a Crane Operator to safely operate overhead/bridge cranes within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will lift, transport, and position heavy loads, ensuring compliance with rigging practices, load control, and OSHA standards.

The role requires vigilant safety practices and clear communication with riggers and supervisors. The ideal candidate has minimum 2 years' crane experience, can perform pre-use inspections, and supports continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating overhead or bridge cranes in a industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform pre-use inspections of cranes, slings, hooks and lifting devices.
• Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.179 and related lifting safety standards.
• Good communication with riggers, signal persons and supervisors during lifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead/bridge cranes to move, lift, position and place loads per work orders.
• Verify load weights and rigging to stay within crane capacity and safety limits.
• Coordinate with warehouse team using hand signals or radios during lifts.
• Inspect equipment and report defects or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain organized work areas and support material staging and shop activities.
