Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking an experienced Crane Operator near Boone, IA. You will operate telescopic crawler cranes for lifting and placement, perform full setup and breakdown, and configure systems for each lift.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, coordinating with riggers and supervisors, and maintaining safety at all times. NCCCO certification and OSHA 10 are required with 3+ years of seat time on similar cranes.

Qualifications

• NCCCO Crane Operator Certification – Crawler required.
• Minimum 3 years seat time on comparable cranes.
• Experience with GTC2000-series is preferred.
• Proficient with LMI / RCL systems and loading charts.

Job description

Trillium Construction is seeking a Crane Operator near Boone, IA.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate telescopic crawler cranes for lifting and material placement
• Perform full crane setup and breakdown, including counterweights, boom configuration, and attachments
• Configure crane systems for each lift, including boom length, radius, and load charts
• Safely execute lifts in accordance with load charts and jobsite conditions
• Perform pick-and-carry operations where required
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Work closely with riggers, signal persons, and site supervision
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards and company procedures

Pay: $43
Per Diem: $150 / day for days worked
Schedule: Mon - Sat, some Sundays, 60h+ / week

Qualifications

• NCCCO (or equivalent) Crane Operator Certification – Crawler
• Minimum 3 years of seat time on comparable cranes
• Verifiable experience operating TCC-series and/or Link-Belt 298 class equipment
• Strong understanding of crane load charts and lift planning
• Ability to perform full machine setup independently
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Bilingual is a plus

Equipment Experience Required

• GTC2000-series telescopic crawler cranes
• Link-Belt 298 class cranes or similar tonnage machines
• Hydraulic boom systems with jib configurations
• Self-assembly crane systems (hydraulic pinning, counterweights, track setup)
• Computer Systems / Controls
• Proficient with LMI / RCL (Load Moment Indicator / Rated Capacity Limiter) systems
• Ability to input and verify crane configurations in onboard computer systems
• Experience reading and interpreting digital load charts
• Familiar with touchscreen operator displays and camera systems
• Ability to recognize and respond to system warnings and faults
