Job description

SCF Lewis and Clark Terminals LLCis seeking aCrane Operatorfor our team inSt. Louis, MOareas. You will be operating a material handler or crane to unload cargo and maintain daily crane inspection reports. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!


What you'll be doing:

  • Safely operate material handler or crane to unload cargo, lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment with precision.
  • Perform thorough pre-operational checks and inspections to ensure crane safety and functionality.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Coordinate with riggers and ground personnel to ensure safe and efficient crane operations.
  • Operate and inspect material handler/crane, ensuring it is in optimal working condition at all times.
  • Efficiently manage the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the worksite.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, barges, and rail.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of materials to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Utilize forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed to support operations.

Maintenance and Reporting:

  • Perform daily inspections on material handlers or cranes and other equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Report any defects, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested to support the overall operations and success of the team

Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
