Job summary

Banker Steel is seeking a dedicated manufacturing associate to support crane operations, forklift handling, and CNC setup on the drill line and saw operations. You will follow safety procedures and help ensure maximum machine performance on the shop floor.

This role also involves maintaining equipment, logging production and quality data, reporting malfunctions, and performing preventive maintenance to keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead crane operations and forklift procedures.
• Ability to read basic production logs and work orders.
• Familiarity with CNC setup on drill lines or saw operations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
• Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
• Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts.
• Maintains safe operations of all machines by adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Set up and operate CNC machines for the drill line and/or saw operations
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
• Monitor the machine to ensure that it is running at maximum performance
• Detect and report all machine malfunctions
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
• Adjust machine as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.
• Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required.
• Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
