Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Full Time Manual Labor worker to operate and set up overhead cranes, forklifts, and CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and CNC machinery.
• Ability to follow safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied indoor conditions.
• Physical stamina for long periods of standing and manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes.
• Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures.
• Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts.
• Maintain safe operations of all machines by following safety policies.
• Set up and operate CNC machines for drill line and/or saw operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor machines for peak performance and report malfunctions.
• Document production and quality logs accurately.
• Make minor machine adjustments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Full Time Manual Labor Lynchburg, VA, US

Salary Range: $18.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
• Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
• Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts.
• Maintains safe operations of all machines by adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Set up and operate CNC machines for the drill line and/or saw operations
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
• Monitor the machine to ensure that it is running at maximum performance
• Detect and report all machine malfunctions
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
• Adjust machine as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.
• Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required.
• Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
