Job Summary

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices.
• Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required.
• High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.
