Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Crane Operator 2 to independently set up and operate fixed- and swing-cab telescopic cranes for routine lifting.

You will verify crane condition, coordinate with lifts, and maintain control from test lift through placement and shutdown, stopping when conditions exceed plan or limits. Responsibilities include reviewing lift plans, inspecting work areas, performing pre-shift checks, and ensuring chart compliance during all movements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant crane experience.
• CCO Telescopic Boom Crane - Fixed Cab (TSS) and Swing Cab (TLL) certifications.
• CDL Class A driving license and medical card when required.

Responsibilities

• Review routine lift plans for load weight, radius, and setup.
• Walk the work area to verify access, ground condition, and clearance.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report safety defects.
• Set up cranes following manufacturer procedures and safety guidelines.
• Operate lifts smoothly, monitor wind, swing, and clearance during moves.
