Job summary

Saber Power Services, LLC, a Houston-based EPC and high voltage construction company, seeks a safety-focused Crane Operator to join our field team in Rosharon, Texas. You will operate mobile and fixed cranes, inspect equipment, follow OSHA and site safety protocols, read lift plans, and coordinate with rigging crews to ensure precise placements on substation projects.

Applicants should hold NCCCO certification and have 3+ years of crane operating experience; CDL Class A is preferred, and travel

Qualifications

• Current NCCCO certification (Telescopic Boom – Swing Cab and/or Lattice Boom preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years’ crane operating experience, ideally in high voltage, utility, or heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Subpart CC and ANSI crane safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret lift plans and crane load charts.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques and hand signals.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and/or fixed cranes to lift, move, and position large equipment for high voltage substation and transmission projects.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and pre-operation checks per OSHA and manufacturer requirements.
• Coordinate with rigging crews, signalpersons, and site supervisors to ensure lifts are safe and efficient.
• Interpret load charts and plan lifts in coordination with the project team.
• Maintain lift logs and equipment maintenance records.
• Follow all safety protocols near energized components.
