Job summary

Edw. C. Levy Co. is looking for a Crane Operator to work at their Indiana Flame Services operation location. The chosen candidate will operate a power-driven crane, perform maintenance inspections, and load/unload slabs. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of crane operations experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of crane operations experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate a power‑driven crane equipped with a magnet.
• Perform visual inspection of crane and yard.
• Load/Unload slabs from turner and transfer cars.
• Document repair requests to technician.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment.

Skills

Crane operations experience

Knowledge of Gantry DC Cranes and Magnet Crane

Rigging procedures knowledge

Excellent hand-eye coordination

Basic mechanical aptitude

Ability to communicate via radio

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Knowledge of safety procedures

Ability to read and write

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
