Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Columbus, OH seeks a skilled Crane Operator to operate a mobile crane to lift, move, and position loads on site, coordinating with riggers and supervision using hand signals.

You will perform inspections, maintenance, and safety checks, drive to worksites, and ensure proper cribbing, signaling, and load handling while maintaining logs and complying with FMCSA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of Crane Operation experience.
• Rigging, cranes, and commercial moving knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• English language fluency (read/speak).
• NCCCO, TLL, TSS, and LBC crane operator certification.
• CDL-A license required; DOT physical/fit for duty test.
• OSHA/ANSI crane operation standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate various crane types per manufacturer and company rules.
• Direct oilers, truck drivers or helpers in assembly.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
• Barricade tail swing and working radius for safety.
• Drive truck to worksites and unload.
• Complete job tickets for client acceptance and billing.
