Job description

Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before making any lift. Erect structures, move products, equipment, or materials to and from industrial work areas by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction according to instructions.
  2. Repair crane as needed.
  3. Inspect crane daily for safety issues and malfunctioning parts.
  4. Clean, maintain, and lubricate equipment.
  5. Complete job tickets, service summaries, and necessary paperwork.
  6. Lift, position, and place machinery, equipment, or large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.
  7. Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
  8. Operate levers and pedals to rotate the crane and raise/lower the boom and load-line.
  9. Bolt boom sections for extension or modification.
  10. Work within standards of accuracy and safety.
  11. Take actions to avoid hazards and obstructions.
  12. Operate crane according to signals from rigger.
  13. Start engines and operate controls to run the crane.
  14. Maintain current NCCCO certifications.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
  16. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Qualifications:
  • Certification / License: NCCCO or NCCER, State Driver’s License, TWIC Card.
  • Experience: 5 years operating equipment in an industrial setting.
