Job summary

PTC in Fairbury, IL seeks an experienced Crane Operator to safely lift materials and load/unload trucks under direction of floor personnel. You will move lifts from mills/finishing and stack on the floor while following safety procedures.

The role requires passing eye and depth perception tests, a written and operating exam, and adherence to plant safety rules. Good hand-eye coordination and dependability are essential in a noisy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass eye and depth perception exam.
• Must pass a written and operating examination.
• Cannot have any health condition or disability that would impede quick reactions.
• Operators may not operate cranes while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Operates crane, making lifts under direction of floor personnel.
• Loads/unloads trucks under direction of shipping personnel.
• Moves lifts from mills/finishing and stacks on floor in a safe manner.
• Removes scrap bundles and hoppers from mills/finishing at the direction mill crews.
