Job Summary

Load/unload or otherwise move inventory to/from trailers, rail cars, barges, or warehouse floor using overhead cranes or other material handling equipment as specified by work orders and supervision directives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Document and report inventory location changes according to procedures.
  • Assemble customer orders according to work orders and procedures.
  • Document, tag, and paint inventory received as per procedures.
  • Record relevant material information on work orders or other forms as per local procedures.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Perform other warehouse or processing/maintenance tasks as needed, including covering for absent team members or managing backlog.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of equipment; report any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain professional communication with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to ensure task completion.
Required Knowledge & Skills

Experience in an industrial setting preferred.
