Job summary

QXO, Inc. in Worcester, MA, is seeking a licensed CDL driver to join our team. The role involves touch-freight tasks, loading and unloading, and ensuring safe operations on site with PPE and DOT compliance.

You will inspect loads, communicate with dispatch, and work outdoors in all weather. A valid Class A or B CDL, NCCCO certification, and at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• NCCCO & Crane Institute Certification required.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
