Job summary

QXO, Inc is seeking a dedicated driver to join our team. The role involves touch-freight tasks, truck pre-inspection, load verification, and maintaining safety through proper PPE and DOT-compliant procedures.

You will communicate with the dispatcher to ensure timely deliveries and help set up job parameters while working outdoors in all weather conditions. This full-time position requires 21+ years of age and a valid Class B CDL.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
• NCCCO & Crane Institute Certification preferred.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
