Role Description The Crane Operator is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Raleigh, NC, responsible for operating mobile and/or tower cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment safely and efficiently. Day‑to‑day tasks include performing pre‑operation inspections, setting up and configuring cranes according to load requirements and site conditions, and following lift plans and signals from rigging personnel. The role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and load charts while communicating clearly with site supervisors and ground crews. The Crane Operator will also assist with basic crane maintenance, document operations as required, and support other lifting activities to ensure project schedules are maintained.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Lifting Operations and safe load handling practices.
• Experience operating Heavy Equipment with a focus on cranes and related machinery.
• Knowledge of Lifting Equipment, including rigging gear and load-securement methods.
• Ability to perform thorough Inspection of cranes and lifting components before and after use.
• Hands‑on experience operating Cranes in construction or industrial environments.
• Valid crane operator certification or license (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent), and a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and industry safety standards, with a commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret load charts, site plans, and lift plans, and to follow verbal and hand signals.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to perform tasks that may require climbing, standing, and lifting.
• Previous experience in crane operation or heavy lifting environments preferred; high school diploma or equivalent beneficial.
