Job summary

OmniSource in Lima, Ohio seeks a dependable crane operator to support metal processing operations. You will operate a hydraulic crane to identify and cut metals and load them into trucks and railcars, while maintaining clean and safe work areas.

The role requires at least one year of crane/excavator/material handler experience, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and stable full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year operating hydraulic crane, excavator/material handler.
• Experience operating baler, wheel loader, and forklift.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and at heights; safety-focused.
• Team player, self-motivated and safety-conscious.
• Prefer scrap knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic crane to identify and cut metals, and load into trucks and railcars.
• Upgrade material when possible.
• Feed baler.
• Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of the shift.
• Sort scrap to upgrade and remove non-conforming items.
• Perform all required preventative maintenance and report any issues.
