Job summary

A staffing agency in Texas is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to manage material handling in a fast-paced environment. The operator will need to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a high level of dependability. Candidates must have experience operating cranes (20 tons), be physically capable of lifting up to 55 lbs., and have a proven attendance record. Willingness to work overtime and weekends is essential for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating an overhead crane to lift, move, position, reposition materials. Load and unload trailers, and/or railroad cars.
• Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.
• Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure.
• Assemble customer orders according to work orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in the steel/metal processing, manufacturing, pipe yard industry (preferred).
• Overhead Crane Operator experience required (over 20 tons required, over 45 tons a bonus).
• Safety sensitive; Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures. Motivating positive attitude.
• Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality. Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as assigned.
• Solid level of experience in remote overhead crane operations; be physically able to work at a fast pace while maintaining an eye for detail and have a proven track record of employment history.
• Pipe Yard environment - must be able to work in all-weather elements.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• 5 AM to 6 PM (8-12 hour shift). Must be open to working weekends.
