Job summary

Wilkerson Crane Rental, Inc. is seeking an Oiler to support Crane Operators with routine maintenance, lubrication, and inspections on cranes and related equipment. Must be willing to join IUOE Local 139.

You will grease and oil moving parts, inspect cables and pulleys, and keep maintenance records to ensure safe, reliable crane operation on job sites in Nebraska. Flexibility for varied shifts and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of crane maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and crane maintenance procedures.
• Certification in rigging/crane safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine crane maintenance including greasing, oiling, and lubrication.
• Inspect crane components (cables, ropes, pulleys, hooks) for wear/damage.
• Clean and maintain crane engines, hydraulics, and electrical components per schedule.
• Replace worn parts (filters, belts, hoses) to prevent breakdowns.
• Monitor fluid levels and top up as needed.
• Maintain records of lubrication schedules and inspections.
• Assist in pre-operational crane inspections and safety checks.
• Participate in load tests to verify lifting capacity.
• Report mechanical issues to maintenance supervisor.
• Follow all PPE and safety protocols.
