BWX Technologies, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Production Tech – Crane Operations to support daily fabrication activities, handling crane moves from 30T to 500T with forklifts and aerial lifts. You will read drawings, verify parts, and maintain accurate records while upholding quality and confidentiality.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 50 pounds, and certification readiness for forklifts and aerial lifts. Preferred: 2 years heavy equipment and rigging experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work at heights using aerial or scissor lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow details engineering instructions and drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and aerial lift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures with a quality-driven perspective while maintaining confidentiality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints accurately.
• Perform dimensional measurements to verify proper fitment.
• Perform mechanical assemblies with critical tolerances.
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts of various sizes.
• Perform rigging operations for crane movement (30T–500T).
• Work with heavy equipment including rail car movers, semis, tractors with trailers and remote-control carts.
• Verify identity and physical characteristics of materials.
• Maintain records related to operations.
