Job summary

Conti LLC seeks an experienced Crane & Heavy Equipment Operator to support drilled shaft and foundation operations nationwide. The role requires operating cranes and other heavy equipment, adhering to lift plans and safety protocols, and collaborating with site crews.

The ideal candidate holds a valid CDL Class A license (tank endorsement preferred) and NCCCO/OSHA crane certifications, with willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments and to work nights in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Crane and heavy equipment operation experience on civil or foundation projects.
• CDL Class A license required; tanker endorsement preferred.
• NCCCO/OSHA crane certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes in drilled shaft and heavy lifting operations.
• Operate additional heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, backhoes, water trucks).
• Rig and lift materials with ground crews and supervisors.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow lift plans, site safety protocols, and OSHA regulations.
• Work with crew and site supervision.
• Work night shifts and in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cranes in support of drilled shaft installation and heavy lifting operations
• Operate additional heavy equipment as needed, including:
  • Excavators
  • Skid steers
  • Backhoes
  • Water trucks
• Safely rig and lift materials in coordination with ground crews and supervisors
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow lift plans, site safety protocols, and OSHA regulations
• Work collaboratively with crew members and site supervision
• Perform work during night shifts and in varying weather conditions as required

Qualifications

• License: Valid CDL Class A (required); tanker endorsement preferred
• Certification: NCCCO/OSHA crane certification (required)
• Experience: Proven crane and heavy equipment operating experience on civil or foundation projects
• Travel: Willingness to travel regularly for out-of-town work
• Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors year-round and during night shifts
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to follow direction
