Job summary

MANITEX INC. is seeking an Assembler in Georgetown, TX to plan, prepare, and assemble sub-assemblies and final assemblies of crane products. You will follow documented procedures, inspect components, and assemble hydraulics and crane sub-assemblies to meet production schedules.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The position emphasizes teamwork, lean practices, and willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1–2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience (preferred; heavy equipment industry a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools.
• Basic math and measurement skills (fractions, decimals, tape measure, calipers).
• Forklift or overhead crane operation experience preferred (certification/training provided).
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly and adjustment of parts and components.
• Leverage lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Use hand and industrial power tools for assembly and lifting devices to move heavy components.
• Be held accountable for completing standard work within a reasonable cycle time.
• Plan workflow and lay out jobs; inspect parts for adherence to specifications and grind or torch as needed.
• Assemble hydraulics and air lines and locate parts needed for the assembly process.
