Job summary

KIHOMAC in Layton, UT seeks an experienced QA Inspector to review travelers, perform in-process and final inspections, and execute First Article Inspections per AS9102. The role includes cert verification, data packet creation, and MRB liaison with engineering and customers.

Proficiency in GD&T and aerospace drawing interpretation is essential. You will operate CMM and Faro Arms, support calibration records, and ensure compliance with FAA-related guidance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of professional experience in inspection/QA.
• Familiarity with FAA CFR parts and related guidance.
• GD&T expertise and ability to read aerospace drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review shop travelers for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct In-Process and Final inspections.
• Perform First Article Inspections using AS9102 forms.
• Verify receiving inspection and related certifications.
• Create data packets: Certificates of Conformance, Indented Parts List, Configuration summary.
• Interface with program engineering and customers on MRB issues.
• Verify MRB process and non-conforming product control.
• Use CMM and Faro Arms for inspections of tooling, fixtures, and parts.
• Provide inspection support to manufacturing and engineering.
• Verify tool calibration cycles and documentation.

Description * Review shop Travelers for accuracy and completeness

• Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings
• Conduct In-Process, and Final inspections
• Conduct First Article Inspections using AS9102 Forms and documentation
• Conduct Receiving inspection/verification of product and relating certifications * Review certification documents and records required to create a Certificate of Conformance
• Create end item data packets such as Certificates of Conformance, Indented Parts List and Configuration summary for internal and external inspections
• Highly skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
• Complete customer Source Inspections for detail parts and assemblies
• Interface with program engineering and customers on Material Review Board issues
• Verify and control non-conforming product and the Material Review Board (MRB) process
• Use CMM, Faro Arms and other inspection tools and methods to inspect tooling, first article and production parts
• Provide Quality/Inspection verification support to Manufacturing and Engineering personnel
• Verify and control tool calibration cycles and the supporting documentation
• Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training (both required and desired): * High School diploma required
• Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred Experience: * 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
• Familiarity with FAA Rule, Policy and Guidance Material CFR14 Part 21, 43, 45. FAA Order 8130.2 and 8130.21. AC21-2L Bi-Lateral agreements * Skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Required Skills: * Detail-oriented

• Adhering to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
• Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
