Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a seasoned Craft Recruiter for a Georgia project to manage end-to-end recruitment of construction craft roles, including drivers, welders, foremen, and superintendents. You will draft postings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and extend offers via an ATS, coordinating with field leaders to meet hiring timelines.

You will stay connected with job boards, trade partners, and associations to maintain a robust pipeline while ensuring compliance with OFCCP and labor laws.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of high-volume, full-cycle craft recruiting experience on highway, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • High school diploma required; a degree in HR/Business preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, OFCCP compliance, and trade-school networks.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems; Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complete recruitment for construction craft roles: ads, resumes, interviews, offers.
  • Collaborate with field leaders and managers to align hiring with needs and build a broad network.
  • Maintain a strong talent pipeline via job boards, trade partners, and industry connections.

The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and significant improvements to the corridor. Construction began in late 2022, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.

The Craft Recruiter is responsible for partnering with HRBP to develop and execute strategies that attract top-tier construction craft talent, including both union and non-union professionals, across Acciona. This position manages full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, selecting, and hiring for roles such as drivers, welders, foremen, superintendents, general superintendents, and other key positions as needed.

Job Description
  • Manage the complete recruitment process for construction craft roles, including drafting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, and issuing employment offers via the applicant tracking system.
  • Works collaboratively and cultivates a positive relationship with field leaders and department managers to gain insight into the skills and competenciesrequiredfor various positions. Continually enhances knowledge of departmental hiring needs andestablishesa robust network across all service lines.
  • Staysactive with current job boards,trade partners,industry associations,social networks, and platforms to find talent, working to alwaysmaintaina talent pipeline.
  • Communicate job requirements, expectations, and company culture expectations to candidates, ensuring clarity and understanding for all parties involved, and addressing any inquiries in a professional,timelymanner.
  • Conductsoracquiresbackground checks, referencechecksandemploymenteligibility verifications.
  • Attend high school and trade career fairs and other local networking opportunities near project sites to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Maintainsaccurateand up-to-date recruitment records and detailsinthesystemin accordance withall federal and state regulations.
  • Maintainsknowledge of trends, best practices, regulatorychangesintalent management and employment law.
  • Activelyparticipatesin creating efficiencies and improving internal processes.
  • Participates in HR projects and audits as needed.
  • Other projects orduties asassigned by management.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • At least 5 years of high-volume, full-cycle craft recruiting experience, ideally on highway, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and OFCCP compliance, plus an established network of trade schools, unions, and craft talent sources.
  • Construction industryfieldexperience may be considered in lieu of recruitment experience.
  • Working knowledge ofapplicant tracking systems, Workday preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, or ability to learn.
  • Demonstrated time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlineswhile working under pressure.Ability to prioritize tasks andto delegatethem whenappropriate.
  • Exceptionalrelationship-buildingskills,withabilityto build trust and credibility.Ability tomaintainintegrity,positivity,professionalism, and confidentiality.Strong ability to sell Veit as an employer of choice.
