Job summary

GF Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced bartender for our upscale restaurant in Eau Claire, WI. You will take drink orders, craft cocktails, and recommend beer and wine while ensuring a spotless bar area and exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities include bar prep, stock management, and accurate handling of checks using the POS system. Evening and weekend availability is required; part-time with potential to move to full-time.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; upscale cocktail or craft bar experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine, beer, and modern mixology techniques
• Ability to create and consistently execute high-quality, handcrafted cocktails
• Experience preparing cocktail ingredients from scratch, including syrups, infusions, garnishes, and other specialty components
• Strong attention to presentation, detail, and consistency
• Ability to provide polished, elevated guest service in an upscale bar environment
• Comfortable making recommendations and speaking knowledgeably about spirits and cocktails
• Responsible for bar prep, maintaining mise en place, and assisting with cocktail menu execution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished bar
• Evening and weekend availability required, with some holidays
• Schedule will vary based on business levels and events
• Position begins Part-Time with potential to transition to Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid as well as record daily sales total and enter into point of sale system
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
• Purchase needed bar supplies, stock and track all wine, liquor, and beer stocks, and have a full supply of glassware on hand, notifying management of any supply issues or shortages
• Properly identify customers' age through identification cards, and serve alcoholic beverages following all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations
• Take patron orders and deliver a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
