Job summary

Athletic Brewing is seeking a versatile Facilities Technician I in Milford, CT. You’ll perform maintenance on brewing, packaging, and support equipment, operate CMMS, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and reliable facility operations to support production. The ideal candidate has basic facilities or mechanical experience, familiarity with CMMS, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous facilities or mechanic experience required.
• CMMS software experience is a plus.
• Electrical experience is a plus.
• Plumbing experience is a plus.
• Sanitary welding experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of brewing, packing, and support equipment.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the process.
• Ensure maintenance areas are safe, clean and orderly.
• Ensure proper cleanup after completed maintenance work.
• Maintain respectful work communications.
• Respond to production questions and issues and follow up with supervisors and managers.
• Observe equipment in operation to prevent/diagnose potential problems.
• Identify, suggest, and discuss solutions to equipment and facility issues with management.
• Complete at least 90% of assigned work orders and PMs through our CMMS.
• Assign parts to work orders.
• Include communication/findings in work orders.
• Assist in pump rebuilds
• Calibrate wastewater pH probes
• Independently complete PMs on Packaging, brewing, and support equipment
• Assume Facilities Apprentice responsibilities when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
