Job summary

Cheba Hut - Nugent in Johnston, IA is seeking a bartender who will craft engaging guest experiences, follow bar SOPs, and ensure compliant alcohol service. You’ll work with the team to deliver high-quality cocktails and friendly service in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll uphold Cheba Hut culture, manage beverage prep, and help with in-shop orders during peak periods. Prior food & beverage experience is valued; ServeSafe/TIPS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in restaurant or bar service preferred.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift up to 159 lbs with team lift encouraged.
• Alcohol safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming bar environment for guests.
• Provide efficient bar service at the bar, lobby, and patio.
• Recommend cocktails, craft beers, and menu items.
• Uphold bar standards, recipes, and alcohol laws.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar.
