Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a Bartender to mix and serve drinks and food with courtesy and timeliness. You will follow Applebee’s recipes, greet guests, take orders, and handle payments using QR or POS systems.

The role requires 2 years of bar experience, knowledge of spirits, wine and cocktails, and the stamina to stay on your feet for extended shifts. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a bar or similar environment
• Must be 21 years of age
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine and mixed cocktails
• Mobility or standing for a minimum of 4 hours, able to bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds
• Flexible to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations
• Confident, outgoing demeanor

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to guests by interacting verbally to all guests in a friendly manner
• Adhere to all local and national liquor laws
• Mix and serve drinks following set Applebee’s recipes
• Greet guests in a timely manner, take orders and answer guest questions
• Collect payment from guests in a timely manner using the QR code or POS
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and TEAM by completing opening and closing side work
• Carry out all tasks with attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
• Use bar tools to avoid bar waste and help maintain bar costs
• Restock product at the beginning and end of every shift including cutting and/or slicing of product for the garnish bin
