Job summary

Cal State East Bay is seeking a Postsecondary Program Specialist within Hayward Promise Neighborhoods to oversee internship programs for 20-30+ interns across multiple pipelines. You will recruit, hire, orient and supervise participants, ensuring compliance with Live Scan, immunization and partner requirements.

You will work with university leaders, faculty and external partners to develop professional development, coordinate events, monitor risk, and prepare grant reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience with college students, internship programs, or workforce development.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and student internship best practices.
• Ability to analyze and report program data for evaluation and grant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Internship Program Management: Manage the full cycle of internship program operations for 20-30+ interns across three pipelines, recruiting, hiring, orienting, and supervising.
• Performance Assessment and Reporting: Develop metrics, collect and report data, and manage budgets with financial colleagues for grants.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Implement risk policies for service learning and internships, ensure compliance with policies.
• Partnership Development and Program Coordination: Represent HPN in meetings with partner agencies and coordinate events and services.
