Job summary

Pacific Seafood is hiring a Crab Shaker in Westport to weigh, clean, remove meat, inspect, grade, and pack crab for sale. You will follow safety guidelines and work as part of a team in our Westport facility.

The role is full-time, involves lifting up to 50 pounds, and requires experience with food processing equipment, sanitation, and food safety. Forklift experience is preferred. Housing is not provided; candidates must reside within commuting distance of Westport.

Summary

To weigh, clean, remove meat, inspect, grade, and pack crab for sale. Responsible for timely and accurate crab processing.

This position does not offer housing. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Westport, Washington for all scheduled shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry baskets of product weighing up to 50 pounds to work station
• Use mallet and anvil in a repetitive motion to remove the crab meat from the shell.
• Inspect meat for shell and defects
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

• Experience with the utilization of food processing equipment, sanitation, and food safety

Preferred:

• Experience with the safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks
