Job summary

Pacific Seafood in Kodiak is seeking a Seafood Processor - Local to join our Kodiak Processing team. This full-time role ensures proper processing of various species, maintaining high production pace and product quality while following our Diamond Philosophy.

You will inspect and grade product, move items to containers or conveyors, sanitize work areas, and support plant safety. Prior experience with processing equipment or food safety is preferred; training is provided where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Be a role model in promoting The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy and teamwork.
  • Inspect and grade product.
  • Walk to all picking tables and collect tips.
  • Place product in containers or on conveyors.
  • Run tips through tip machine and collect the meat.
  • Weigh and clean product.
  • Sanitize work area and equipment.
  • Place product in proper packaging as instructed.
  • Assist with workspace, plant clean-up and upkeep.
  • Adhere to sanitation and product quality policies.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors and leads.
  • Maintain plant safety at all times.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Summary: To properly process various species of seafood, ensuring maximum use and yield of product. Consistently maintain a high production pace in all areas of production.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include but not limited to:

What you bring to Pacific Seafood

  • Ability to read a limited number of two‑and three‑syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
