Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Technician to join our team and perform CQA services primarily for landfill and landfill gas projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of environmental engineering by ensuring compliance with design plans and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections at landfills or construction sites.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience with Geosynthetics Inspections.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PDFs, particularly using fillable Excel templates for daily field logs.
• Strong skills in soil sampling, quality assurance, report writing, inspection, and quality control testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in active construction sites or engineering field work is preferred.
• An Associate degree in engineering is preferred.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and read maps and construction plans.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics and soils is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements for driving, lifting, carrying equipment, hand excavation, and using electric and hand tools.

Work Environment

The role involves significant traveling, ideal for someone comfortable being on the road, with a rotation of 3-4 weeks of work followed by a 1-week break. Overnight stays and regional travel expected. The first two weeks include onboarding, gathering equipment, and safety training in the local office, followed by training at various landfill sites alongside a CQA. The position offers lots of overtime opportunities, with a potential to grow into an engineering technician role. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hot Springs, AR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
