Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a CPU Performance Architect focused on the memory subsystem to push single- and multi-threaded CPU performance for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and server CPUs.

You will collaborate with CPU/SoC designers, run modeling and RTL feasibility studies, and maintain a data-driven simulation environment to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements across product lines. The ideal candidate has deep CPU architecture experience, strong performance modeling skills, and proficiency in C/C++

Qualifications

• Experience in CPU and SOC architecture.
• Experience with performance simulation environments.
• Object-oriented programming experience in C/C++
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.

Responsibilities

• Define and optimize memory subsystem micro-architecture for CPU performance.
• Collaborate with CPU/SoC designers to assess feasibility via modeling and RTL.
• Maintain and improve the simulation environment for data-driven decisions.
• Identify bottlenecks across workloads and product categories to guide improvements.
