Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a CPU Performance & Workload Analysis Architect in Platform Architecture to bridge hardware and software teams. You will drive workload profiling, develop analysis tools, and collaborate across CPU, SoC, and software groups to optimize Apple devices.

Ideal candidates bring deep CPU architecture knowledge, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with performance benchmarks. You will explore emerging workloads such as ML and AR/VR to steer future CPU roadmaps and drive impactful

Qualifications

Experience with CPU architecture and micro-architecture.
Object-oriented programming in C/C++.
Experience with CPU performance analysis and associated tools.
Experience with common performance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

Profile and analyze existing and emerging workloads on CPU/SoC simulation environments.
Develop and maintain performance and trace analysis tools.
Develop visual extensions to assist with data analysis for internal and partner use.
Run workloads on simulators and prototype devices; help automate performance analysis infrastructure.
Develop domain expertise in fields like ML, AR/VR to identify hardware opportunities and optimize software.
Profile workload in potential new product areas to guide CPU roadmap decisions.
