Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a CPU Performance & Workload Analysis Architect to join Platform Architecture. You will profile workloads, develop performance analysis tools, and collaborate with CPU, SoC, and software teams to optimize code mapping to Apple hardware.

You will bring deep experience in CPU architecture, C/C++, and performance benchmarking, and you will help guide future CPU roadmaps across devices, including ML/AR/VR related workloads.

Qualifications

Experience with CPU architecture and micro-architecture.
Object-oriented programming with C and C++.
Experience with CPU performance analysis and associated tools.
Experience with common performance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

Profile and analyze existing and emerging workloads, bring up in CPU/SOC simulation environment.
Develop and maintain performance and trace analysis tools.
Develop and implement visual extensions to assist with data analysis used by internal teams and software partners.
Run and analyze workloads on simulators and prototype devices and develop automation for performance analysis infrastructure.
Develop domain expertise in emerging fields (e.g., ML, AR/VR) to guide hardware advancement opportunities and assist software teams.
Profile and analyze workload in potential new product areas to help guide CPU roadmap decisions.
