Job summary

The State of New Hampshire is seeking CPSW I–IV positions in the Division for Children, Youth, & Families. This role involves entry-level protective services casework to assess reports of child abuse and neglect and to promote child safety and family welfare.

Training and advancement opportunities are outlined within the agency. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for CPSW I–IV and may be promoted up the ladder based on education, experience, and performance.

Qualifications

• Entry-level protective services casework in investigating and assessing reports of alleged abuse/neglect of children.
• Experience levels and education requirements scale from CPSW I to CPSW IV.
• Must have valid driver’s license or access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and develops relationships with children and families to assess and secure immediate safety.
• Conducts interviews and assesses risk to determine course of action.
• Coordinates services to prevent abuse/neglect and promote permanency.
