Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a skilled writer to support Corporate Payment Systems by preparing RFP responses and various client proposals.

You will coordinate with sales, relationship managers, and SMEs to update pricing, product information, and proposal content to support the sales strategy. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of business writing experience, with strong editing skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of business writing experience in sales support, proposal generation, marketing, communications, publishing or print media
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to communicate effectively on unfamiliar topics to elicit technical and program information necessary to answer client questions
• Ability to quickly assimilate new information regarding specific product and technical topics and write accurately about those topics or concepts immediately after introduction
• Possesses technical ability to adapt to proposal tools and software used by the company
• Strong organizational skills and an eye for presentation and details
• Ability to manage routine administrative tasks
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects
• Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Write responses to RFPs and create pricing proposals, RFIs, RFQs and ad hoc documents for external clients
• Coordinate projects with sales representatives and relationship managers; manage timelines
• Collaborate with product, marketing, finance and subject matter experts to update content for proposals
• Integrate pricing into formal proposal documents and align with sales strategy
• Balance multiple proposals and contributors to meet tight deadlines
