Qualifications

Five (5) years of paid social service experience.
Master's degree plus practicum in social services or related field.
Bachelor's degree with 30 credits in Social Services and one year of paid experience.
One year of experience as Social Service Specialist 1.

Responsibilities

Provide case-specific assessments of safety, danger, and risk.
Assess resource needs of children, birth parents, and caregivers and provide stabilization supports.
Refer, coordinate, and monitor delivery of services.
Provide goal-directed, time-limited crisis intervention to children and families.
Develop and coordinate collaborative case plans with shared planning.
Determine resources for placement of the child.
Prepare and file dependency and guardianship petitions and related court documents.
Attend court hearings and provide testimony.
